The Bench
The bench
A repair department, not a shipping label
Plenty of shops take your machine, box it up and send it somewhere else. Ours doesn’t. The work happens in the building on Belair Road, by technicians who are factory-trained and certified — including Husqvarna Viking certification through our service manager, Chuck.
That matters mostly for one reason: when we call you about your machine, you are talking to someone who has had it open.
Honest work done at a fair price.

What to expect
Four things we hold ourselves to
You hear from us before we do the work
We inspect first, then call with what it needs and what it costs. Nothing gets repaired on assumption.
The status is online, not a mystery
Every machine gets a work order number. Check it at any hour instead of calling to ask.
We would rather clean it than replace it
A lot of “broken” machines need lint out of the hook race and fresh oil. We will tell you when that is all it is.
Expedited when you actually need it
Quilt show on Saturday? Ask about emergency service. There is an added fee and we will be straight with you about whether it is worth it.
Who we serve
Fallston, Bel Air and the rest of Harford County
We are about twenty minutes north of White Marsh and a straight run up Belair Road from Baltimore. Customers drive in from Harford, Baltimore and Cecil counties and from southern Pennsylvania, usually because the alternative is mailing a machine away for six weeks.
Have a machine that needs attention?
Bring it by the shop or start online — we’ll get you back to sewing.
