A Letter From Glory Bee’s
July 15th, 2020
It is with a heavy heart and devastating sadness that we inform you of the passing of our dear sweet miss Della.
We are not going to say she lost her battle with cancer, because she didn’t. She kept up the good fight until she just “ran out of gas”.
Della was a great good-hearted woman, with always a smile on her face that made you feel she was genuinely glad to be in your company. We will miss her jolly wholesome laugh, her nurturing ways, always willing to help and ‘I’ll do it’ attitude.
What comforts Gloria and myself the most is that, when Della was working here and teaching classes she would always introduce herself and say to her students, “I have finally found my dream job. I have always wanted to work in a quilt shop”. She didn’t get to enjoy it long enough which is hard to accept, we didn’t get to share enough time with her in her element.
She will be much missed but never, never, ever forgotten.
Good luck on your journey sweet lady, we love you and we will miss you.
The family has informed us that there will be a memorial service for Della sometime in August, we will keep you updated as to the exact date when it is decided with respect to the family. Let’s all keep Della’s family in our hearts and prayers during this time.
With Deepest Sympathy to Her Family,
Ron & Gloria Perkins
